    I have had to replace switch stacks due to burn outs and other folks "over" adjusting.
    The good news is that any stack I ever rebuilt really did not need any further attention.
    It is really cheap and easy if you get your basic parts from PBR.

    I assembled a kit containing new and used parts.
    When there is an issue, I pull it out and redo it. Done.

    You also cannot inspect the contacts on a micro switch.
    With leaf switches you can "see" the problem.
