Hi all,
I've recently purchased a Star Wars Episode 1 Pinball 2000 and currently having multiple issues.

At the moment, I'm trying to get the PC booting properly. If you power the machine on, the pinball game will start, but there won't be anything on the monitor. I will then press the power button on the PC case off and then on again and then the monitor will start to warm up. During this boot up, the screen will be fuzzy until it warms up and you can faintly see the SWEP1 videos. It will also be in faint blue and won't warm up to full color.

Things I have currently tried:
1) Reseated connectors
2) Reseated PRISM board
3) Replaced power supply with brand new power supply from Mr Pinball (Australia). After doing this, was still having the same issues as before. No change.

The motherboard is 586GXM-AV and is different to the one pictured in the PINWIKI repair guide. I have checked all the capacitors on that board and none seem to be bulging.

I have also read that replacing the RAM could also fix certain issues. Haven't tried that yet. Still trying to source RAM.

At the moment, I feel that I'm close to resolving the issue, but I'm a bit unsure on how to proceed with this one and looking at advice from other PIN2K owners. Any help would be much appreciated!

Cheers!
Adam.

Ended up finding a helpful hobbyist who did pinball repair and specialised in Pin2000. He repaired my motherboard. Had a loose RAM slot, replaced CPU paste and fan, as well as some suspect capacitors.

Game is now booting correctly and playing, but I'm still having intermittent issues with my Wells-Gardner monitor. Monitor won't power on the majority of times I turn the machine on and if it does, it starts fuzzy and then it's all blue, no red or green present.

The problematic Star Wars Episode 1 has now been fully repaired. OH YEAH!

1) PC mother board sent away and repaired. New capacitors and CPU fan replaced.
2) Monitor chassis sent away and repaired. Problem capacitors replaced.

Game is now playing 100%.

Thank you for the reply.

Cheers!
Adam.
