I just finished refurbishing a Sweet Hearts and I have a question. Mine only has single coin slot, no extra chute so there is no extra chute (W) relay. My question is this, when I coin up the machine, it immediately starts a game, it doesn’t add credits. If I coin up during a game, it resets the game. This appears to be correct according to the schematic but in 1963, did people pay 25¢ for a single play? That seems like it should be 10¢ but the slot is clearly an original 25¢ slot according to the schematic. Am I missing something?

Mistake on the schematic maybe. I never saw a 25¢ pin in 1963. Late in the 1960's a dime a game and three for a quarter, and having two coin slots. One for each coin.

That's odd. This how the add-a-ball games of this era were set up. Does the game award replays otherwise?

Mine has both a 5 cent & 25 cent entry, along with a sticker on the apron that says 5 for 25 cents.
I have changed some replay games I've purchased that had the single entry to what I believe is the correct dual entry the only problem is the coin entry shoots are really hard to come by.

Sounds like an operator changed a dime play game into quarter play by swaping out the coin acceptor.
