When my SWE1 boots, it sometimes gets hung on the Checking For Updates and needs to be powercycled (sometimes more than once) to get it to the point where the boot process continues. I replaced the CPU power supply with a brand new replacement, reseated my card and RAM, checked all connections, and reseated all connections to the driver board. Did a quick search and nothing popped up on this. Anyone else ever have this issue?

I am guessing I am running v1.0. At least thats what it says when I open the coin door. I did not replace any batteries on the prism card or the MB, I knew I should have on the MB, but I didn't even know the prism card had one. All of the cables and connectors were reseated.

Of course. I don't write the battery number down and god-forbid I get an internet signal actually INSIDE of a Walgreens...

So I grabbed a few CR-2032 batteries. Should I return these for a CR-2025? Will they work well enough for the pin in home-use? I looked, and they didn't seem to carry the BR-2325. Luckily, it's right across the street from work, so if I hear back before I leave I can return these.

I'll give it a try and report back. Thanks Greg.

Sorry for the delayed response...

The CR2032 works in the form factor, but I was still having startup issues, so I tried to pick up the correct battery size. Swapped it out, and still having the same problem. I also replaced the 6 caps on the mobo with 1000uf 10v caps. The PC power supply was replaced with another 300W switching PC supply as well. The machine is currently at v1.0. I tried to update it with another members ISA card but had no success, and need to send the card off for ROM verification (I really don't want to have to deal with the PC Serial update method unless I HAVE to).

It gets through the 5 startup sequence items and gets stuck confirming the update, usually if I cycle the power again it'll then complete and move on to the playfield powerup.
