I finally got around to getting my SWE1 playfield up and going. After fixing most of the issues I still have one of the biggest still remaining. Before I do something aftermarket to fix it, I'm trying everything possible to get it to work with what I have existing.
When the ball gets shot up to the higher level hitting the guide rail then it usually bounces off one of the rubbers and rolls down the ramp. Probably 1 out of 4 times the ball shoots up, hits the guide rail and gets caught right between the ramp divider and the ball guide support.
A few things I've tried
-re-leveling the table (seemed to help to a little)
- I've tried finding pictures in the manual and internet to verify I wasn't missing anything. (I can't seem to find any pictures that are like this to verify off of.)
-wished it away
I have two possible solutions
- readjust the popper slightly down on the popper mount
- bend out the ball guide support arm enough to where the ball won't get caught
my other solution would be to add a metal rail going across the ball guide supports. This is a last resort because I don't want to drill into the game if I don't have to.
Before I took this any further, I was hoping someone had some experience with this issue in the past. or if someone knew if there was a piece missing from this area. I've already replaced several missing parts from this playfield, so it's possible.
