1976 Gottlieb Surf Champ 4-player will not pop on score for player 1 only. Player 1 will give special, extra ball, and will match. Players 2, 3, and 4 work perfectly in all respects. Any ideas? Thanks.

Check the thousands and ten thousands score reels on player one for any of these causes:

Dirty pc board copper foil traces.

Hole worn in copper foil traces on pc board.

Wiper finger broken or missing.

Wire broken off the pc board.

Switch stack has an out of adjustment switch or wire broken off the switch.

Note: you have to partly disassemble the score reel to look at the copper foil on the pc board. There are small easily lost parts on the score reel so be careful & pay attention.

what is "pop on score for player 1 only" ? Here the snippet that shows: P1D, P1C, P1B, P1A let the shot of electricity (from the "Point-Relays") pass to Score-Drums of Player-One. Greetings Rolf
