My Surf Champ decides to quit advancing the Player and ball number, either during a game, or at the start of the game. Last ball relay looks good, extra ball relay good. Is there something very easy I'm missing? <crosses fingers>

Quoted from DirtFlipper:

There are snippets of the logic path and explanation of things to check here:

A simple thing to check though is the ball trough switch underneath the playfield (assuming the ball still gets kicked out to the plunger).

Thanks Dirt Flipper, I will have to look at it again in a couple weeks. I keep my pins at a house I'm only at every other weekend, so I'm at a slight disadvantage when advertising for help on Pinside. A few gremlins popped up for sure, not sure if all related. One minute all is fine, then it decides to quit advancing. This will be intermittent. When I put the pf in the service position, I couldn't get some functions to work, lights wouldn't illuminate etc. Then I put pf down, and all functions work (except ball/player) advance. This happened over and over. Then I had just 1 player started and playing...and suddenly all score reels lit and scored some points when only player 1 should have, obviously. The ball trough switch seemed to function...although...it would only advance manually IF I had made a connection with the extra ball relay switch.
