For the purposes of this thread, I suggest we use Rotten Tomatoes as the arbiter of which movies "suck". For this discussion, we want a low Tomato rating, combined with an excellent Pinside rank (low rank number). I propose we just add up these two numbers to come up with a single number that reflects both movie quality and pinball quality. Ideally, a movie would have a 0% Tomato rating and have a pinball machine ranked number 1 on Pinside, resulting in a score of 1.

If you do that, you get:
- Johnny Mnemonic Tomato rating=14%, Pinside rank=66. Sum = 80
- Congo Tomato rating=22%, Pinside rank = 46. Sum=68
- The Shadow Tomato rating=35%, Pinside rank = 29. Sum=64

Therefore based on this method, of these three machines, The Shadow is the best combination of good pinball with a bad movie.

Just as an example, Iron Man Tomato rating=94%, Pinside rank = 31. Sum=125. Iron Man would have a poor score in this discussion by virtue of having a movie that most people consider to be good.

Find a better one!

Considering that "theme" is part of the Pinside ranking, though, I think it is more likely that Godzilla pinball is a decent machine with an awful theme, but that titles like The Shadow have such an inspired pinball design that no theme problem can keep it down.
