    Quoted from Spencer:

Not sure what your paying but I'm at $498 a month for property tax, unreal.

$800/mo and consider myself fortunate for buying when I did.

Off Topic but I'll show you crazy. Property taxes would be about $1200/mo. This is just a regular suburban neighborhood, nothing fancy.

    Quoted from Monk:

A friend of mine just bought a house for $300k. It has public water, but a septic tank, no natural gas, and doesn’t include trash removal. He pays $11,000 a year for property taxes.

Wow! As a percentage I guess we don't have it too bad. Housing prices on the other hand...

    Quoted from jimjim66:

I grew up and live in Central Valley of California. We are the "whine" region because of how hot we are compared to the coastal part. I'm 2 hours from the coast.

Grew up on the coast. Moved to Madera for about 7 years for the low housing costs. Liked the town but could never get acclimated to the heat.

    Quoted from o-din:

    I apologize to everybody here!
For not being overly ambitious, not trying to take the easy way to riches, not going along with the crowd, and mostly for turning a serious thread into a Pedros ad.

I except accept your apology....just don't do it again.
