I don't see the one with the round cut out anywhere on my machine. My first thought was by the vuk. There's one similar between the mini ramp and the vuk, but it's much smaller than the one in your picture.

What do you mean by rails? If you mean the right inlane habitrail, no that's not normal.
No coloring on my machine. It never looks right. I think that was just a phase this hobby went through when colored LED's first came out, but now we're over it.

Looks like you're missing a little adapter cable. I took it off quick so you could see. My Batman has the original DMD. Hope these pics help.
