It’s in the settings. Go into the menu again. I think it’s in audits or adjustments.

Hey Guys just bought a Batman forever. Currently pulling apart to re-powder coat & Led everything & a few other little mods. Does anyone know where I can find the Apron Decals ? As mine are in pretty bad shape with old service stickers all over them.

Take the whole thing apart, clean everything and put a new coil sleeve in. While it's apart clean the pf too.

I have a problem with the third flipper. I hadn't turned on the machine for a month or two. Previously it was working 100%. Now when the ball kicks into the shooter lane, the 3rd flipper slowly moves until it's fully extended and stays there until the ball drains, at which time it instantly drops back to where it belongs. Next ball, it start over again, rinse repeat. Any ideas?

If not an obvious switch or coil issue (wire or lug arching), sounds like the corresponding transistor is locked on. Constant juice...could be cracked solder joint on the board.

If you’re not going to play any game for a prolonged period of time, it’s always a good idea to just turn them on and let the boards heat up once a week or two.

Just thought I would post this here for future reference if anybody needed it.

The guy that had bought my game last year called me a few weeks after he took it, and said that the plunger coil and trough VUK were firing multiple times. When I got the game back two weeks ago, it seemed as if he never fixed the problem, or it had gotten worse. Even in attract mode, the trough VUK and auto plunger would fire repeatedly.

Finally got to troubleshooting it tonight. As I suspected, it was the receiving opto board. If either of those boards are failing, it will mistakenly recognize that a 5th ball is sitting in the upkicker, even though it is a 4 ball game. You can see this in the trough clear menu (switch 15).

To test for a broken solder joint, you can push on each joint with the tip of a lead pencil (no conductivity) and see if the ball simultaneously disappears on the DMD. On mine, it was the right LED joint, and the 103 transistor. After reflowing, problem fixed.

Might you know what transistor I should look for?

Q15 and Q16. Also check the CN2 connector, pins 1 & 2. If you haven’t already, try reseating the CN2 connector first, and run the coil test.

Just got around to playing a game for the first time since I posted about the problem, the flipper is working as it should and I did nothing to the machine. The only thing I did was leave the machine on since you advised it. I hadn't got around to checking any of your suggestions, because BF is the game I've had the least issues with, thus I have it buried the deepest into the tetris like setup I have to move to be able to work on it.

#669 5 years ago

This game is all about connections mine if I move it or shake it during multi ball it will just reset itself game starts over I start pushing down on connectors resolves the issues

Good deal. Then it’s most likely a problem with the connector or a cracked solder joint on one of the boards. Letting it heat up for a while will often resolve the issue, but it will probably reappear. Go through it when you have a chance.

Quoted from Scott8806:

That means you either have to repin one of the connectors that you’re pushing down on, or reflow the solder on that corresponding board.

Could be. Reverse the cable and see if you still have the issue.

My BF is missing the Batcave. Was wondering if anybody was willing and had access to a 3D printer, if they would be kind enough to replicate one for me?
Cheers Dave

Folks I have a question. My machine has v0.10.1 on it. Do you see merit in updating it? Would welcome any input as IPDB lists v3.02 and v4.01 under this pin.

And my last custom card printed. Sorry for delay

I’m new to the club. The machine I picked up has some dmd issues. It is half on most of the time but comes back on intermittently however, only for a second before going back. I started a tech thread about it as I am looking for any guidance I can get. Here is the link to the tech thread

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/batman-forever-dmd-half-on-issue#post-4636227

I appreciate any help I can get on it

Anyone know where to get question mark stand up targets? A few of mine are chipped and I saw those in Gov's old restoration thread, but he doesn't remember where he got them.

Yes they come with double sided tape already cut to the shape of the logo

In hindsight I should of ground off the eyes prior to powder coating but you can’t really notice them once the speaker lights are on

Hi guys found this Batman Forever for sale & noticed on closer inspection a small plastic cover with decals on it in the top right hand corner on top of the U turn shaped green plastic ramp. I don’t have one of these does anyone else or is this an after market mod ?

Mine doesn't have that and there are no screw holes in the ramp for it. If it were stock why is it an upside down picture of a Vulture and have another partial decal on it. It's a hack.
