I would have bought two LEs...alas. In what world do the people that think Superman isn't a good theme live in? Superman is a top 5 franchise of all time by any definition. It is probably eclipsed by Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and now Marvel universe but that might be it. Maybe Batman or TMNT? There have been 4 modern era Star Wars pins, 2 modern era Lord of the Rings pins and like 4? modern era Marvel pins. There has been 3 modern era Batman pins and 1 modern era TMNT pin (granted, it is TERRIBLE). There would certainly be a Harry Potter pin if JK Rowling would allow it. There is one classic era Superman pin and while it may be decent for its time, frankly it sucks.

I just don't see how a pinball machine featuring Superman, whether it was based on the Reeves' movies Superman, Man of Steel movie, Justice League (comics and cartoons, not the movie), or a Batman/Superman theme wouldn't be a hit as long as the layout and coding were solid.

Found out that Superman isn't being made because Gary Stern didn't "kneel before Zod".....

I agree, except when you define it by that terrible chick flick from 1978. Ugh. Still I know there are some diehards who would buy it, so for your sake I will feel bad if it doesn't get made. It seemed like a sure thing a while back.

it’s best watched with the closed captioning on, to catch the subtle nuances that are essential to the plot...

Still, you gotta love how Franchi worked Gary Stern into the backglass.

(Yes, I know it's really MB)

    Forget Superman

    We need Howard the Duck

    Imagine seeing that unexpectedly.

Doubtful ANYONE could walk by some ate up shit like that without pressing the start button.

Needs an "adult" setting for sure because duck titties & profanity are a must.

The next Superhero pin should be Wonder Woman and not from 40 years ago.

I eagerly await this product, as I am interested in the old Atari Superman title, and figure that there will be a lot of folks wanting to unload their old Superman.

    Quoted from T-800:

This bums me out. I was saving up just in case STERN did this
title. Maybe they'll grab the license one day and use this art.

At least for now we have the translites.

Come visit my booth at Chicago Expo or pre-pay for one with a frame and I’ll ship it to you after Franchi signs and numbers them (1 of 25) at Expo.

Playing Indiana Jones Williams & Data East Star Wars with Pinsounds and the full John Williams scores, this pin would be an instant buy for the JW music alone.

I watched the film again recently and it holds up and really cool to see gritty NY again. That music though when Clark Kent becomes Superman’s and flys for the first time out the cave.

Somebody really needs to pitch this if Stern is passing. JJP? Deeproot?

A good Superman '78 or Man of Steel pin would be epic. I would buy two LE's or CE's or whatever is the highest edition.
