Holding out for Wonder Woman '77....instant buy, the property already exists in comic form from the same Batman 66 licensers. Not holding my breath however....

Ohhhhh man... That would be a sweet, sweet pin... I would have to get that to my collection... But, I don't know if it would ever happen.

    Quoted from gmkalos:

I see your Shadow and raise you ...the 1989 Punisher lol

Spoken by someone who knows nothing about action movies. Yes... At times Dolphs acting and Lou Gossips are really bad... Same with Mr. Krabbe... But, there are times when they just nail the scenes and characters and its amazing...
BUT!!! This is a cheesy action movie, and it has one heck of a kill count.
Unlike the tom jane punisher... which is BORING!!!

Also, watch the end action sequence. It has three of the best choreographed fight scenes of ALL TIME! The fights each tell a unique story, but also merge together to tell one great story. First fight Punisher uses his brain over brawn as he realizes the guy is a bit too much for him to handle... Second fight... With him tired and worn out a bit from the first fight. He uses his size and muscle power to beat the quicker more agile woman... Third fight. He is completely spent. And at a disadvantage... But, it's his life on the line and he fights tooth and nail in what would otherwise be an easy fight for him to win.

Simply great fight choreography. And if you don't like action movies... Then don't watch those kinds of movies. But, the movie is amazing. And amazingly cheesy. But, that was what it was meant to be. So many peoples opinions of this film would be different if he had a freaking skull on his chest. BUT, blame Marvel... They sold the rights to the film but denied the use of the skull on the chest. It was in the script.

This one was by far the worst. Nuclear man was a very inventive villain name.

Well the second Superman film serial with Kirk Allyn actually already used Atomic Man... So, you can't blame them if Nuclear man was all that remained... Still that guy had an impressive physique... Shame the movie stunk... But, the director of that film went on to direct Aces Iron Eagle III... A very bad film... But, it had my favorite(2nd favorite really as Elvira is my fave) pinbabe in it. Rachel Mclish, and she went all Rambo in it. And those bits were enjoyable... Also he directed two Dolph Lundgren movies... One is really bad called Detention... The other while cheesy and low budget actually is really good. The fist fights and choreography are all top notch and just entertaining. The gun fights mostly really bland and bad.... Some good bits, and it has a nice 70s low budget exploration feel to it. That one is Direct Action, and again for 90 minutes... It's a fun ride.

Are you kidding me that movie was so bad MST3K almost did a spoof on it...you need to check out Turkish Spiderman then if it's all about the action for you, who needs to actually act in a movie anyways! lol

And I would say the same thing to the folks at MST3K... I've seen more action movies than any sane person should... And Dolph Lundgren's fight scenes are some of the best ever. He's akin to Bruce Lee in that his fights tell a story. And though that is something all people in action movies claim and say... It's something very few actually do. Dolph not only changes his fight style to fit his characters, but he doesn't do martial arts if its not in his character... Again... Snipes doesn't really do that, Michael Jai White claims too, but he's always too damn smooth and he knows it. Dolph is quite possibly one of the greatest, if not greatest action movie actor. Arnold can read a script and pick better movies, but Dolph generally always brings something unique to his parts... Watch the movie for its own merits... You'll see what I mean. It was directed by Mark Goldblatt... A man who was the best action movie editor of all time... So trust me the movie has an action pedigree... But, maybe its not for the lay movie person.

Also... I think the Shadow for what it is... Is a very enjoyable film... Cheesy, yes... A bit slow and plodding at times yes... But, it has style. John Lone was always a talented actor and makes for a great villain. And the movie was directed by Russell Muchally who directed Highlander and also to bring it back to Dolph his awesome movie Silent Trigger... Movie has style and that dagger freaked me out when I was a kid. So I enjoy the film... Could have been better, but it isn't a turd fest... I like it better than some modern super hero movies like the first Marvel studios captain america. That film was a snoozefest.

    Quoted from gmkalos:

The best action movies on planet earth are Jackie Chan flicks, Rumble in the Bronx, Police Story, Project A ect. Dolphy was one of the WORST actors of the 90's to present day.

Watch his films... Really watch them... Most people think Dolph is Russian... He's swedish... That my friend is the very heart and soul definition of an actor. He fooled most people... Also, it took him till 96 to loose his accent... But, he's lost it, and he's very good at emoting and doing the little bits that he never gets credit for. He can act. Watch Skin Trade... Watch Command Perfomance.... I love his acting in The Defender. He's got all kinds of hidden beats that everyone looks past. But, the blocking is there... And also watch the Russian Specialist. He's all Charles Bronson in that one...
He's also a great director.... Trust me it takes acting to bring that intensity that he has.

I was going to go that route too but realized it was a TV movie like (Spiderman Nicholas Hammond which I love) but I'm pretty sure the Punisher came right out to VHS lol.

Yes, but that is only because the company went bankrupt and so it had to unload it to vhs... Just bad luck for dolph... AS it would have done nicely in cinemas... not a huge hit but it would have made its modest budget back.

I've seen He Man...spoiler alert it is horrible lol

Yes, Masters of hte Universe is a turd... Gary Goddard is a crap human being and director. But, even though dolph couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag in this film... He was learning, the bits with him as Heman are good. The bits with Courtney Cox on Earth are horrible... If it was a true heman movie and focused just on Heman and Eternia then it would have been enjoyable sci fi/fantasy cheese. But, while the movie had a nice budget of around 18 million and was Canon's highest budgeted movie ever... It still was a bit low to do all that... So they cut corners... And then Canon went bankrupt shortly after too... But, again Dolph was from Sweden and just fell into acting... Give the man credit to see how far he has grown and what he always brought to the table.
