    Quoted from BladeFury:

Finally made a stand and stained it to raise the game! Wow my back is loving it and I'm just 6' tall...$16 in wood and some leftover stain [quoted image][quoted image]

Thinking of purchasing for my new gameroom. Been watching YouTube vids of the new model. Might get the one you got without paying the nhl for stupid licenses. How’s the game? Nice base you made. Should I do the same?

    #369 4 years ago
    Quoted from MLmotorsport:

I inquired about the new LED add and Ice sent me this picture and a video of it in action. Looks like its a row of leds covered by and opaque strip so it has a bit of a neon tube look rather than a bunch of separate LED's. They are not coordinated with the game play so it's more of an attract mode option. It didn't work for my purposes but if anyone is interested and would like the video I can email it over (not sure how to post it here). Put in my order for a plane jane Super Chexx Pro a couple weeks ago and it was on their schedule to be assembled today - exciting [quoted image]

    Awesome. Congrats

    Just ordered mine

    #378 4 years ago
    Quoted from MLmotorsport:

Only a few days since unboxing mine and the response and love for it has far surpassed any other arcade game or pin I've had. It entertains many more people than any of the other games because it's also fun to watch. If I had the room to pull it away from the wall I think it could hold the attention of 8 people.
We generally don't buy new arcade games but this one was a no-brainer - a bargain considering how entertaining it is. So far I've had ages 4 to 76 play it with a relatively quick learning curve.
Only 1 mod I'm looking at in the short term - changing the national anthem to a Metallica rendition. Other than that its perfect.
(about 100 games and no playfield chipping yet - this nib is a safe purchase )[quoted image]

    Awesome!!

    Quoted from NUHockey:

I bought a New Super Chexx Pro over the summer. Before I even got the Super Chexx Pro I bought two teams of red and blue players from ICE and began the process of customization. I knew 100% I was going to make a Northeastern University vs Boston University Chexx Game. I worked with this awesome painter Marc Blais. He painted the players according to my specifications and Marc also designed and made the logos for the cabinet sides and made me a center ice logo as well as inner and outer board logos with the design ideas I had. I have not installed the inner board logos yet or the Center Ice logo yet. Maybe this weekend. Below are pictures of my Super Chexx Pro unit as well as pictures of the painted players. This is something that happened to me that turned into a blessing in disguise. When I received the unit there was a small section that had scratches in the dome. You couldn't see it when playing but when looking at it from the side you could see the scratches for sure. I sent ICE a video of the scratches and that it came from the factory that way. The packaging was intact with no damage it and none to the the cardboard protecting the dome. ICE agreed and they sent me a the NOVUS #2 polish and scratch remover. I used the #2 and polished it two times with the Novus polish attachment I bought for my drill. For my troubles ICE sent me a NY Rangers Team, a NJ Devils Team, and a Blue team. Thanks for looking.

Freaking awesome. My game gets built 9/13. Hopefully it being made on a Friday isn’t an issue.

without combing through this entire thread has anyone added start up songs to their super chexx pro? I'd like to add a few songs if possible

There’s a guy on YouTube that has.

ICE is a great company. I ordered pucks right as the covid19 shutdown began. They never shipped and that was months ago. They called me yesterday out of the blue while I was working outside. They made sure I still needed them and the guy was super cool on the phone. He wanted to know how the game was. I had mentioned there was one minor issue and he had a tech call me back a few minutes later. Great support I have had so far.

The long wait is over. I finally ordered it! I ended up going for the miracle on ice one, red base, LEDs, split base. Of course, I will spend the rest of the day wondering if I should've gotten the NHL one. lol

Excellent you will be so happy.

    Quoted from spjohn1964:

Well my dream game arrived today! There was a little shipping miscommunication so the game arrived before my better 1/2 left for work. So with out me being able to hide it in the shed, I had to divulge a Christmas surprise! I love it! She hates it! She see's no point in it & thinks it's way to big! (That's what she said! ) We have been arguing about it all day! It's okay I know she'll come around! She was the exact way when I bought my 1st Pin & she loves it now! Also got my Tampa Bay Lightning Ice surface for free as promised. I've only had a chance to play a couple of games on it with My Niece's fiancee (He thought it was fricken killer)... As of yet my better 1/2 won't even consider it...

Welcome to the club. My wife plays with me. She use to be terrible but a year later she puts in one hell of a fight. She laughs so hard playing too with my shenanigans. Tell her to freakin chill and give it a chance.

SDTM: Super Chexx Pro Bubble Hockey Unboxing & Gameplay

What’s awesome is you can buy these Direct from ICE. Better customer service than Stern too. I had an issue and got replacement parts in a few days.

    #579 3 years ago
    Quoted from ZMeny:

Yes, buying direct is always an option as well. We like the product, so we carry it as well for those individuals that like supporting a fellow pinball enthusiast such as ourselves

    Same price?

    Quoted from KozMckPinball:

Never quite understood ICE's relationship with re-sellers. I bought mine direct from ICE and the transactiion was the least expensive option and the unit was built and delivered into my garage without issue. Have not had one issue with it and bought it (NHL version but pre-Pro model) in Feb 2016. That said, the players get banged up, just like real hockey, when blocking shots or just get in the way of a shot. Recently one of my Montreal Canadien shots knocked the non-posted foot off of the right Bruins defenseman. Sometimes that Hab-pens.

I wish nib pinballs were direct and you could save money. My distributor hasn’t been helpful in any way with my issues. They just say it’s the manufacturer. So pass the buck and take the next order.

    #581 3 years ago
    Quoted from YZRider926:

So anyone buy one recently? How long is the wait? I’m probably going to purchase one tonight or tomorrow after I sell these last 2 pins.

Just call ICE in NY. They are super helpful on phone. They actually answer the phone too not like these pinball manufacturers.

    #583 3 years ago
    Quoted from YZRider926:

Damn must be busy. Looking at 5 weeks for deleivery.

I think mine took about 4 weeks that was pre covid19. Just remember you’re getting a superior product than a pinball machine with a way better warranty. The tech support is awesome on the phone if you need them.

Best of all you won’t have any playfield issues.

    Quoted from rick6668:

Well it arrived and it's beautiful, Penguins vs Whalers. The only problem is the ice surface is the original one and not the new skated version which I ordered. I emailed them for resolution. Will update when I hear from them.

They will make it right fast. It’s not Stern.

    Quoted from rick6668:

Skated ice arrived today, not sure when I'll get it in, looks cool though.

Told ya they make it right quick. Stern you’d be waiting 8 months.

Awesome dude. It’ll get played a bunch.

Best part of ordering a Super Chexx is direct from factory. A company that has good customer support. No helpless distributors needed. Still love mine. 2 years now.
