Just picked up Super Soccer that wasn’t working. I have got the game starting up and for the most part working, but still have a few things to fix. 1st issue I need a little help with is the bonus it’s not changing always staying in the same spot not advancing or changing what’s light. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The light in your 1st three photos are dependent on what ball your on. So ball 1 the 1st is list. Add you move to the next ball more lights are lit. the last ball all are lit.

ArgosySK is right. Here's a little more detail:

The #1 Top Rollover light should be lit during all (3 or 5) balls
The #2 Top Rollover light should light during the 1st or 3rd ball (depending on 3/5 ball setting) and stay lit afterward through a switch on the AX relay
The #3 Top Rollover light should be lit during the 2nd or 4th ball (depending on 3/5 ball setting) and stay lit afterward through a switch on the BX relay
The #4 Top Rollover light should be lit during the 3rd or 5th ball (depending on 3/5 ball setting) and stay lit afterward through a switch on the CX relay

I have found the route of my issue and this seem to be the problem with were I was going to ask for help next. So now my question is what do a call these springs when I call Steve at pinball resource tomorrow. Not sure if you can make it out but my spring has sprung and is not getting a contract.

The springs and snowshoe wipers (I think that’s the name) might just be gummed up from dirt. Try disassembling that portion of the stepper and cleaning the wipers and springs with alcohol and a q-tip. Just mark the position it was it before disassembly

“bushings, springs and wiper fingers” according to the 1976 parts catalog

This should be your route.

Good to see another Super Soccer around! This was my first pin - my wife got it for me our first Christmas after we were married as a completely surprise gift... I knew I had made the right choice with her As such will never let it go, have had it 22 years now. Needs a tune-up and this thread made me remember it needs some love when I get home.

Re the wiper contacts - I've had good luck using a light_ coat of dielectric grease over the shoe contacts after cleaning them up, seems to help it glide smoothly. Same for the AS relay for the spinner bonus lights under the playfield which can be a real bear to adjust.

"Snowshoe" is apparently a Williams thing:

I don't know that Bally ever used spring loaded wipers.

My spring was sprung GTB-A307 wiper springs. This has fixed the bonus as ArgosySK stated it is ball dependent. This also fixed my issue with my ball count lights. But I’m not quite done but getting closer posting my next issues soon.

Okay so next two issues not sure if they are related or not?

1st one is I can only play a one player game, if I go to add a second, third or fourth it’s taking the credit off but not adding the player.

2nd is if you score the score for a credit it’s not giving the credit or the knock. If you light special and hit special I do get the knock and credit for special. Just nothing on making the set score goals for a credit.
