The weather is great so I won't be doing much pinball work today BUT my topper came in for my SMB! I love that it looks like mario on the backglass is jumping up to punch the blocks.

It's a hanging lamp I found on Etsy. I had to ask him to paint the wood black but he didn't charge anything extra to do it. I comes w/ a 120v lamp & compact flourescent lamp which is what's plugged in right now. I assume I could run that into the machine & plug into the service outlet so it would go on/off w/ the machine but for safety reasons I'm going to install a LED strip in it instead & wire it tot he GI lamps in the backbox. this means it will go out what the backbox switches to flashers & I'm fine w/ that. makes it a little interactive. maybe I'll even add a flasher behind the ? block. who knows. it's really sturdy, was packed safely, & came quickly.

here's the link to his etsy listing. this isn't me. just the person I found selling it.

on a side note, I made my warp pipes & color matched the LED flashers to pipe color. I made the one by the ramp extra long. that one is pointed right at your face & w/ the shorter pipe on it the thing was still blinding. i feel making it a little longer helped w/ that. it made it a little wobbly but I cut a small piece of an old flipper rubber & wedged it in there. now it's snug & you can't see it. when I made the long pipe that the ball travels through I made it slightly longer that the original so the coupling piece is past where the wire drops off. this keeps the pipe from angling up like I've seen some others do & the ball still drops down onto the wire just fine. I decided the green is too dark for that 1 so I'm changing it back to the original to yellow.

I had a free minute so I quick threw the flipper buttons in. Hadn't realized the green ring was a warp pipe. Very nice touch.
