Thought this was a great deal at $300, and it still is a very good deal as the back glass is very near perfect and cabinet very good. But after pulling the dusty pf glass off, noticed the multi colored vinyl patches. Pulled one off tonight with a hair dryer "heat gun" and it came off ok. Considered leaving the rest, but the "it should be original" guy in me can't leave it. Since it isn't mylar, any suggestions on better ways to pull the rest of it off with the least damage to the paint?

Thank you both. Two pretty different methods. Any advice which is best? Seems like freezing would hurt the 45 year old paint, but apparently not? And could I use Naptha instead of lighter fluid?

Yes it was vinyl. Tried Naptha with a small short bristled paint brush on the edge, and it was coming slowly off. Tried a regular air spray can, first spray upside down to get cold liquid on vinyl, then inverted can and just gently sprayed air. Froze vinyl instantly and it pulled off quickly in large pieces.
