I'm looking for suggestions on what LED to use in rotating emergency light toppers, like R911. It uses a #89 socket.

I tried a comet pinball 8-SMD tower, but that wasn't as bright as I would've liked.

I wanted to try to get something that would be bright enough to see some red light sweeping around the walls of the room.

Any suggestions? I'm not necessarily limited to a particular brand for this bulb.

Don't know if it is the sane, but here is what I used on my Getaway. As bright as or slightly brighter than original bulb. Sorry for the bad pics, but happy to shoot a vid if you want to see it in action.

FYI, just confirmed in Getaway manual that bulb is 12V #1156, so will need to check if yours is the same. If not, may be other auto bulb options for you. I tried a couple of pinball LEDs before this, but they were way too dim.

Youll need a 3w-5w LED....Flashers kinda come close to 1W on average

Well, I tried a few different automotive LED lamps, but they weren't much brighter than LED flash lamps.

So, I went back to incandescent, and it was much brighter than any of the LEDs I tried. So, incandescent it is.
