I am a new collector, but am looking to start up a project. I have done some basic work (soldering, taking things apart, cleaning, etc...), but only to a small extent. I'd really like to dig into a project pin, and wondering if there would be certain machines that are better suited for someone without a lot of experience?

If you have any suggestions on a machine, or a even a machine for sale, I'd love to hear!

Single-player EMs aren't very complex if you're into EM (They're complex to a certain amount but not as much as multi-player machines, especially some of the ones from the 70's, some of them barely have any relays and are some of the best games, it's crazy)

If you're wanting solid state, early bally is the way to go. EMs are more forgiving though.
