With the release of excellent work that is the recently announced "Fun House 2.0, Rudy's Nightmare," that set me down the path of considering other titles from the era that would be good candidates for the "2.0" treatment. The first one that came to mind is the original High Speed. With the large number of these produced, the availability of the Hard Top, pretty good playfield layout and somewhat hard to find MPU, I would think this title is ripe for a facelift.

Would love to hear other's thoughts on possible titles that could use a set of 2.0 updates, including the new translite, video screens, music, sound effects and music treatment.

Wouldn't that just make it a HS2 the Getaway?

I think earthshaker would be a better way to go for the next title.

I know this is somewhat of a hot take, because everyone wants the cool and desirable games to get the cool upgrades, plus obviously most of the time theres a lot more in circulation, but I feel like a lot of the Gottlieb system 80-3 games would benefit the most from 2.0 upgrades.

Well my advice is to use a machine that actually needs an upgrade; not HS which is a legendary game with perfect rules.
Don't understand the need to try to better something that doesn't need it.

Agreed! TheLaw. Code was never finished on WoF and still, as many bugs and lacking software features that has in that game, I play it every day. It's a bit annoying that the extra ball just displays a short DMD video clip with no audio fanfare or callouts whatsoever. Newbies and guests often miss the fact they have accomplished something! I'd rather have a software revamp to Wof than a rework of an average game like HS that ALREADY has a sequel. Elvira and Batman have already had multiple entities in pinball. Otherwise, my vote is to upgrade an old rarity that most don't get to play.... Quicksilver 2.0, Spirit 2.0 or Medusa 2.0 for example.

Does Pinball Browser support WoF for features like your discussing wayout440? I know some have added additional music and graphics to games like Ghostbusters. I for one am up for a good challenge when it comes to version 2.0 on games.

I think games like HS with no display “panel” will not be considered for 2.0 games due to lack of a mounting solution for a DMD.

Agreed. Class of 1812 is a great example. Very good layout stupid, stupid rules.

The problem with most Gottlieb games is stupid stupid rules. Especially in that era. So many of them have interesting layouts but are crippled with bad rules (and arguably bad flippers)
