    Do you have a small test speaker? Wire the speaker's "-" to board ground and probe that TP with a wire connected to the speaker's "+" lug.

    Your Logic Probe (o'scope even better) can give you some good feedback. Probe the same spot you would with your speaker. The LP will interpret the analog sound as rapidly transitioning HIs and LOs. Probe the working circuit to see what to expect. You will notice the flashes match the sound being made.
