STTNG - Fast, longshots left spinner-orbit to right-up-flipper shoot delta.... very rewarding shots, if you like that type of game.
TZ - Stop & Go, more strategy game, make accurate aim-shots to work your way up to LITZ. Fun call-outs, great Twilight theme integration.
Can't go wrong on either of one if you like variation in multiple game-types.
I have owned both. Both were hard to maintain but not sure if that is unique. both are excellent. I wound up playing TZ more but between these 2 it would come down to theme preference only IMHO. both have a lot to do. if you like to shoot from a "gun" to make shots , go with STTNG. only game that I think compares is LOTR. every bit as deep and I think its a little better than both, but I love the LOTR theme. another deep rule set is WPT. so if you dont want to spend the dough, it is more than half the price!
I was going to ask this exact same question
I'm looking to sell my STTNG in hopes of finding a nice TZ. I know the rule, which is "play the game and decide for yourself." The problem is there is no way I can get 6+ years of experience with TZ, which is what I have with STTNG.
They seem like very different games, but both great in their own way. Perhaps what i really need to do is a temp trade with someone for their TZ.
Thor's summary is quick succinct and nice, thanks.
I don't have a bunch of time on TZ, but I have a love of the theme which I think is what keeps drawing me back to it.
I am actually hoping TZ will really force me to work on my shot placement.
