I have an issue in my area regarding a ST:TNG where one might be able to be picked up for a great price. I was curious, though. If a ST:TNG is in excellent condition, can it be used to trade for a decent TZ? I see that prices can be similar for the two machines, but I am not sure how realistic such an idea is.

Here in the Netherlands, I would definately say that ST:TNG is cheaper to get than TZ. Maybe something like a 400 euro difference? Probably has to do with the theme, many non-trekkies are very scared of that big bald man on the backglass. 
TZ was my first game, bought it in 1999 for under $1000. Those were the days!
Nice buy Robin! I just bought my STTNG for $2000 USD, in beautiful shape. Seller wanted $2200 USD, but since the game would reset occassionally when both flippers were pressed I got him down to $2K. After cleaning the corrosion from where the batteries were in the CPU board, and replacing them - no more problems.
I doubt I could get a decent TZ for that price. Maybe?
