I'm having a problem with my STTNG constantly reloading balls. Even after the first three balls are properly staged, it continues to repeatedly load balls. I've replaced both trough opto boards and replaced both connectors with molex connectors. The new boards light up, but when I put it in the switch edge test the switches all read open, even when I drop balls into the trough. I've read as many old posts related to this topic that I could find, but this one seems a little different. I would appreciate any input. My experience is more in EM"s and I'm about at the end of my diagnosing capabilities.
Thanks

Are you sure you don't have a switch matrix issue ? Switch wired wrong, diode on backwards, a short to switch wiring or lugs ?

Be sure your staged balls below the playfield are staged in the right order. An opto set swapped with another ?

Thanks for the input.
I haven't rewired any switches or diodes and if I have a short I can't find it.

Balls are staged right and I would think that wouldn't affect the trough switches reading if they weren't. Opto boards are brand new and pretty straightforward.
