I'm thinking about doing this same mod. I lucked out and a uncle of mine who goes to garage sales regularly picked up a bunch of Hallmark Star Trek ornaments for real cheap and luck would have it that he has all the ones I need for my pinball. He's selling them to me for 15 bucks for all of them. Anyway, I'm not the best with wiring either so I am trying to find a step by step tutorial but one of the links posted above doesn't work and the other has pictures that really aren't clear.

Oh yea, I got the green plexi ready to go and next will be the green flashers that are mentioned above!

+1...... Thor-NL you guys were my inspiration on that thread. The only thing I haven't done yet was paint the red emblem .... any tips on that? Also, what green flashers did you put in?

I didn't cut anything with a knife when I painted it. If you spray it all black that is what makes it hard to see the lines of the hull. If I remember correctly I sprayed mine all black first, then I went over it with a dry brush with the grey/metallic...this helps bring out the lines/texture of the hull. Then I went over some spots with black again on a dry brush to make it look like it was hit during battle. I wouldn't suggest leaving it all black if you want to see the lines of the hull.
