I decided to add the Romulan warbird mod to my ST;TNG.

I used Hallmark Christmas ornaments.

I attached 2 alligator clips to clip onto a playfield general illumination lamp to power the LEDs.

When building mine, I decided to do a few extras. It's a tedious, time-consuming mod to make.

My price is a lot cheaper than what you find on epay.

Price: $55 plus $5 shipping.

$5 from each sale will be donated to pinside.

Contact me if interested.

Hey, question on your technique here if you don't mind. Did you leave the original bulbs in, or did you swap them out for LEDs?

#11 10 years ago

No,

you take a hole saw and literally dirll a 1 1/4 diameter hole right through the circuit board. You replace the incandescent bulbs with LEDs.

Sorry, I misled you a bit. I've actually done them. I have one on my machine with the original bulbs, and have not had an issue. I have another one sitting here with the LEDs replaced and wasn't sure if folks used a resistor on these given the LEDs, or just plugged straight into the GI. Haven't tested it yet.
