My #STTNG MPU board had battery leakage. I cleaned the alkaline but ended up purchasing a Rottendog 089 replacement MPU board with the updated LX-7, chip, and NVRAM. Once installed, this fixed my diagnostic switch issues (it wasn't responsive because of the alkaline leakage to U16). I had 3 ground shorts which were fixed by resetting a ribbon. The left cannon short crank arm is broken, so I disabled the left cannon in the utilities menu.

2 messages remain, both dealing with left cannon, the factory setting to "ON" for LT Launcher Broken, and the cannon cant find it home.

Unfortunately nothing on the playfield is now responsive. Ball does not get launched into the catapult, none of the flippers work, I can start the game the the right flipper button, not the launcher but as now ball can be shot out it sits there.

I am hoping it is something simple as the entirety of the mechanics seem to have zero power. Lamps, sound, DMD all work fine, ball does not launch into shoot at start-up and no flipper action. When I test the right cannon in diagnostic mode it moves fine. Before I changed the MPU board out the flippers were responsive, but the VUK was popping like it was trying to get a stuck ball out.

Thoughts would be much appreciated!

Cheers

Do you have the coin door open? There should be an interlock switch that cuts coil power when the door is open. Close it and see what happens.

If that doesn't work, check your fuses with a multimeter.

I had the door opened and closed as I fired it up half a dozen times. I will check the fuses, thank you!

Fuse 112 (7A SB) on the WPC Power Driver is blown. Replacement enroute, hopefully that's the culprit.

Installed the fuse, playfield back online, simple fix! Now to reinstall the left launcher and should be playable once again.
