Both of mine move (not sure about fire) when it's booted up.
Both of mine move as well, no fire. Swing out and back again. That's it.
For those of you who have a topper, show them please
^^ this, and also look at the padding (foam) if it is mushroomed or feeling like it might absorb too much, replace it

Besides maybe the coil going bad, (coil number per manual says it's a AE-23-800) anything to check for the ball catapult ? Not sure if it has a separate connector under the playfield that I'm missing to check or even on the back box, may try reseating everything, seems to have been working fine, then raised the playfield to adjust the pop bumpers and now it seems weak, course every time I seem to raise the playfield a light decides not to work till I trace it down, touch it, and it all work great again. The catapult currently sometimes throws the balls fine, other times it seems slow and balls go around the wire ramps lazily. When it was trying to stow balls after my game hitting final frontier, it couldn't throw the balls hard enough in order for them to go up top, they just kept missing their mark and rolling down the playfield. Had to pull of the glass in order to stow the ball myself in the upper subway. Previously I've cleaned the wire ramps, just put in a new rottendog motherboard versus recapping the original board, now my cannons move about twice as fast as they did before, the rest of the game works perfectly.
Any help will greatly be appreciated.
Does the mech have any ‘play’ at the moving points?
It always has a little but when it has too much, the sling-power is not directing the ball straight forward, but sideways. Loosing momentum.
Adding a (small) washer can cure this
(Something easy to check)

Does the Pinshaker um, shaker... allow you to connect to more than one trigger at a time? The left ramp would also be awesome, and the borg ship flashers
Quoted from Manny65:
Yes you can have multiple triggers (up to 8 I think), there’s a bank of dip switches to enable/disable the various triggers. They have information on their website as to the various triggers available for each machine.
This picture shows the multiple triggers
