New to the club and I can't seem to find much info on the diamond plate details. I thought they all came with DP but there is no designation on the playfield that I can tell. Based on some of the comments I have read, I wonder if DP is standard or not and how to tell.

#264 8 years ago

So if it's not standard, wonder how rare it is? I think mine has it but will remove apron tonight and see if I can validate. Did I just get really lucky, scoring one with DP.

Ah ok, that's what I needed to know. Thanks for the info guys!

I can confirm that the Pinbits set has everything, including this part. Of course I couldnt be bothered to do a full teardown so this was crazy hard to replace and gave it up for now until I need to get in there someday to replace the optos, etc.

Hey gang, my gun is starting to look pretty ragged. Thoughts on best and most affordable approach to getting it painted/powder coated? What about stripping it, rattle canning it with paint and then clear?

Quoted from Goner:

Took my gun apart to clean and then used satin black rattle can. Same with the coin door and legs. Looks fine.

Did you strip off existing paint first?

I guess I didn't take enough pictures when I tore my STTNG down. Any idea where this goes?

Here, to the right of the delta ramp.

Could someone please post a picture of the underside playfield left cannon for both switches and positions when the cannon is at rest after start up. I reconditioned my cannons and the left one comes to rest aiming at the middle of the playfield. I'm assuming I have a switch in the wrong position or need to rotate the cannon.
Thanks

Quoted from mavantix:

That's cool. I will have to try that on some of my plastics. No issue with the back of the plastic (the silk screened side) sticking to the glass?

Yeah I am curious about that too. I have done the baking in the sun method with limited success but I used wax paper between the sheets of glass and the plastic, just to prevent this very issue.
