Does anyone have a picture of the ball lock underneath that is supposed to have a tie back. Very small coil. Not sure if the mechanism should be so lax or I’m missing a piece.
Thanks Jeff

Not sure where it goes but it sure is good looking.
Not sure as it was a long time ago but the metal cover at the top of the coin door was hitting something on the under playfield and would short out. Seemed too simple of a solution but it worked in my situation.
Double check the ribbon cables as I had a new pintech and the one ribbon was reversed as to how the first pin was opposite of the Board I replaced.
Quoted from mtadams29:Do you know which ribbon you're referring to? And which board it connects to?
The red lines are at top. I had connected it the way I took it out but the number 1 pin out was connected to the I believe #10 pin and I think it's the new cable In the picture. I didn't know it made a difference as it plugged in the same.
20211110_081502 (resized).jpgDoes anyone have a photo of the ball trough wiring and I'm unsure of the connector size that connects to the opto board.
Quoted from jadziedzic:A better fix is to purchase a new wiring harness for the left canon and replace the hackery that currently exists; the color-striped ribbon cable is someone's (bad) idea of how to fix broken wires in the factory canon wiring harness. The new harness will come with all the required connectors pre-installed.
That's good news since I recently purchased the looms.
Quoted from ray-dude:To round out the weekend's upgrades, finally got around to installing Zitt 's amazing metal pop bumper caps and EVO lighting on my machine. While I was in there, I swapped out the pin bumper bodies/skirt/base for clear replacements from pinball-mods.com
Love this look in my machine, and love the extra light back that corner

Most of the major cleaning/upgrades are done with this machine now....time to enjoy playing it, at least until that Pinduino gets here [quoted image][quoted image]
The caps look great I need .
GI is 5 volts and drives the Hallmarks just fine. Hookup to any
5volt GI bulb you like. I tested out that the voltage is indeed about
5 volts for the Hallmarks by hooking up to 1.5volt batteries in
series. 1.5volts = no work. 3.0volts = no work. 4.5volts =
Works! I supposed I could have calculated or measured the voltage
applied to it on a string of christmas lights or by checking the rated
voltage of christmas bulbs, etc., but it was more fun to conduct a
hands on experiment.
This was on Google groups not sure if it helps.
Did you try disconnecting the cables from the CPU except for power and see if it boots up ? Then reconnect one at a time and see if it fails or what causes a fuse to blow.
Also I have a pintec DMD controller and the one connection is upside down for the ribbon cable.
Quoted from frodak99:I have a ground short, sometimes it’s just row 1 or row 8 and sometimes it is multiple rows or all of them. It goes away if I take the apron off or if the playfield is raised. I don’t see anything obvious, has anyone had this issue and can point me to what fixed it for them.
Other than the best advice from others I once had a similar issue and the coin shroud was hitting coin box and caused an issue.
