Don't know if this will get a response (like the previous post), but I'll give it a try.
What have you done to improve the frequency with which you are able to hit the Delta ramp successfully? I have waxed the playfield, lowered the angle, rebuilt the upper flipper, put in the (slightly) stronger coil, tried adjusting the gap between the flipper and the side panel, etc. I still have to hit that shot perfectly to get the ball to go all the way around the ramp, and I think it might well be impossible to get enough velocity for it to go over the hump and into the Borg ship. Any thoughts about what else to try? I am at a loss.
I believe it is 17636. It is the prototype coil sold by Pinball Life. Honestly, it really makes little difference.
I have a metal protector on the left side, and I'll remove it and see if that does any good. Right now, the ball will make it up the ramp most of the time, but it does not seem to have the velocity to make it to the Borg ship.
Quoted from bigdaddy07:if your ramps have some rough track marks, that could cause some drag and slow the ball up. You could try flame polishing them. I noticed a difference after I did mine, not huge but it was there.
I think I'll pull the ramp, hopefully this weekend, and give it a good hard look. It isn't terrible, but I am sure it could be better.
