also loving my 4th Sttng and is my best example and Rock solid game . No issues with mine and very happy owning this one..Was my Grail machine before MetPremium was made. Now that holds The Best Pinball game Title for me.
Quoted from Manny65:I would say that my STTNG is one of my more reliable machines, not that I've had major failures on any of my machines. I've had my game for 4 years and the only thing I've had to do was reflow the optos in the left VUK and adjust the drop target switch. I don't really think of these sorts of things as anything major, more just typical pinball maintenance
Quoted from Eric_Manuel:** Still looking for the RARE Item. The A-16959 Switch Gate Assembly. (01-11688 mounting bracket and a 12-7118 Wireform. See photo attached. ANY resource someone knows for this would be fantastic!
you may be able to try this one and reverse the wireform opposite direction , I had a Sttng in the past i did something like this to for that same gate but could not find receipt for exact one but this looks like it . https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/A-9465-L
Are There LEDS in the game? if there are and they are bright, check angles top and bottom of playfield and be sure none are triggering an opto. this has been a problem i found on a friends game .I know it sounds odd but was an actual solution . maybe negated or sent similar beam somehow
Quoted from Eric_Manuel:STRANGE CANNON ACTIVITY. Some help STTNG Pin people please. So sometimes during gameplay, a choie to "Launch A Probe" is selected to use the Cannons. The Cannon (Right Side) will cycle through (all the way to left then back to home) and then the ball will load. It's almost like the software "jumped the gun" on moving the cannon, then settled down to load the ball.
Additional information. New Opto Transmitters and Receiver Boards everywhere (all replaced) and new opto board. Also, new designed Trough Board. Upon testing, everything is fine. I am also getting a "lost ball" sometimes during game play. Final note. I also the Cliff Subway protectors installed (if that matters to know). All of the diverters everywhere are 100 percent rebuilt.
Ideas as to where to begin my investigation??
i know what you mean by missing it, i am On My Fourth , Really 3rd because i bought one back after i sold it (same example) , although not my current one i Bought From a Fellow pinsider here who decked it out before i got it .
mine is loaded with stuff and plays great . Enjoy it
MOOORE please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quoted from Manny65:Yes there are several clips that get displayed during Ferengi MB, showing the balls in play, when the Ferengi is talking and the Ferengi ship leaves at the end of the MB. There did seem to be different clips when the Ferengi is talking - I think it might play one clip when hitting the start mission scoop and the other plays when hitting the Neutral Zone scoop. There are multiple call-outs when hitting the start mission scoop but from what I could tell it was the same clip that is displayed.
where oh where did that 6th ball go?
got to be in the bottom of the cab.
Could not have been playing it w/o 6 balls w/o the game going nutz.
Quoted from Days:Well, my right canon problem was in fact just.... that i only had 5 balls in my pinball instead of 6
Quoted from Days:RE: after adding 7 balls the machine started to send two balls to the game, like if the machine was seeing that there was one extra ball in the "stock " so i removed th 7th ball and returned again to 6 balls, now i works normally but from time to time the ball doesnt go to the right canon when the canon activates, so the machines starts to activate all coils and stuff after some seconds to find the ball, the machine sends then the two balls the one from the left and the one from the right scoop to the canons, and then it works normally again. Should i change the coils from the two scoops and there is a ball detector there?
there is opto’s in all the resting spots where balls lie…. You have a sporadic one somewhere. You need to have all 6 balls first in test mode in main ball trough under switchtest where if you activate any they pop up… with the balls in trough they should be closed .shake game just a little and see if any go on and off for sporadic ones.. may need to reflow solder on a resistor , if all checks out play game so balls go into the in game subway rest stops and check for reading closed when ball is in them. Those resistors are on the 16 opto board and may need reflow if sporadic switch..
The opto resistors or the opto goes bad is usually the issue. Good luck. Check them switches even the one switch where the borg ship ball sits
he may be talking about the for sale wire harness for the cannons that Jim's pinball Shop was selling Part Number H-17067 REV3N949794-01 which seems to be here now
i have one i never did need to use if someone wants to buy it or needs it..
Quoted from Zitt:No. Why would anyone make a full harness for any game not in manufacturing?
If you really want something.... Maybe contact Mk1Mod0 to see if it's something they are willing to tackle
Opps my bad he knows of these . Good luck anyway . Never seen full Harness ever ..
i need assistance with the New Led Gi ocd board hookup to STTNG .. i am at the Breakout board part and they have the incorrect 2x 11 pin Jpin connectors listed as j105 and j106 . it can not be them / also no 3 pin connector at j104. anybody know the correct layout or could provide a picture of the setup on their
STTNG / thanks . i didnt start the LED ocd board for inserts yet but hope they came with STTNG pin hookup instructions .
tyvm.... Greatly appreciated
Quoted from sfspanky:You are looking at WPC 95 installation instructions. You need to follow WPC 89 instructions. J120, J121 and J119 are the connections you use with WPC 89

Quoted from PinJim:I can't wait to get the updated ROM. Love my STTNG.
