Hello All,

First time posting. I have a STTNG that has a problem as described below. It's driving me nuts and can't seem to figure it out.

Problem:
Won't store a ball in the Lock trough when staging balls under playfield (balls stage properly under both cannons).
Launches two balls at the start of the game (because it won't stage a ball on lock trough and thus has 4 in ball trough).
In switch edge, every opto triggers like they should (lock trough and ball trough)
Subway diverters all work.
During borg multiball, lock trough nonstop trying to launch balls like it thinks they are there.

Like I said, every opto triggers as expected in switch edge test. I can't figure out what the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
Kyle

Subway diverters all work. But are they on right in the correct position ?

LTG : )

Yup! Everything is installed in the correct position. When the game stages balls after reinstalling the balls, it properly stages below each cannon and lastly when it goes to stage one under the lock VUK, it just spits it back out.

Post a picture, with switch edges test, lets see what it shows on the display. (Which switches are closed and open).

On test report you have no errors?

So when you power up the game, it leaves 4 balls in the main trough? In other words, it does not attempt to stage balls over and over? It is satisfied with 4 balls in the main trough?

Okay, so I swear I had checked the switch edge test image before and it was all good. When I checked today and removed all balls from playfield, lock opto switch 3 was not working. I took apart the trough and saw that the IR transmitter wasn't working so I replaced and everything is now good to go!

I appreciate everybody's help!
