The other thing is that these power supplies just are not designed to handle extra stuff. Although I have to admit I have a shaker motor and a color DMD installed. Ran into some problems a month ago when one of the cannon motors was shorting itself out more and more, and that kept blowing the entire 12V unregulated fuse line out, including all opto's and the color DMD.
I had a lot of trouble w/ the power after I installed my color dmd. Had to replace the capacitors, bridge rectifiers and also do a mod on them. Works ok now. The DMD saps a lot of the power that would go to optos, maybe flashers as well. You should contact them.
