It seems as soon as I fix one issue on STTNG, another new one takes its place.

After having worked thru the diverter/drop target issues (add replacing ribbon cable to list of possible solutions), I started noticing the left cannon drifting left of home after awhile playing - eventually blocking the wireframe for the left return lane.

I found I could simply turn the cannon by hand to realign it - and that it had a good amount of free travel. The right cannon can't be turned at all by hand.

Turning the cannon doesn't move the arms at all, so I'm wondering if this is a matter of simply tightening something to a shaft, or is there likely more going on here than a simple adjustment?

cool...thanks. I have to tear into the cannons soon anyways to replace the harness on both. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something that'd require ordering parts in the middle of the job (e.g., new gears/motor). For the time being I can realign it wide right and its good for awhile until it blocks balls again.

Any good/recommended disassemble instructions available?
