ST:TNG Light Lock Issue

Whenever I choose "Light Lock" from the plunge menu, the game proceeds to lock 3 balls and start multiball. You can do this on ball 1 and ball 2. What could possibly be causing this?

I'm running LA-7 ROM

I think I may have found it:

Someone did a hack job fixing the drop target in front of the hole. I don't think it is working half of the time.

Switch not registering in that hole back there behind the drop target? Diode off the switch? Have you looked under there?

It's going to be a switch issue. Dies the same also happen if you shoot the lock shit during game play? Does it just start MB on the first lock? You can probably find the problem in switch test. There are a lot of subway switches under the playfield. If one locked ball triggers them all then the game may consider three balls are locked instead of one.

Looks like it's a problem with the drop target. The bolts had broken off the mounting assembly, and someone decided it was a good idea to use zip ties to hold it on. I think one finally came loose and the drop target was not going back up.
