Quoted from Flippersammlung:Hi everyone! Recently the left canon on my STTNG game keeps on shooting repeatingly although the bally has already been sent to the playfield by this device. This shooting only occurs as long as the canon moves it´s way back to the "home" postition. The same thing can be seen at power up when both canons move back and forth. The right one acts OK, the left repeatingly keeps shooting ??

Have you cleaned the optos in that cannon? If so you may have a bad wire loom in that assembly.
