Williams, 1993Hi everyone! Recently the left canon on my STTNG game keeps on shooting repeatingly although the bally has already been sent to the playfield by this device. This shooting only occurs as long as the canon moves it´s way back to the "home" postition. The same thing can be seen at power up when both canons move back and forth. The right one acts OK, the left repeatingly keeps shooting ??
Any hint will be highly appreciated!

It sounds like when the motor is getting power the game thinks the cannon switch is closed and is trying to eject the ball. I expect during a game it should wait until you fire the cannon, is this happening?

yes..during gameplay the canon "waits" until I pull the trigger to shoot the ball ! And then it keeps on firing till the canon rests in place
I would be more than willing to come fix your machine for free if you can pick up the tab for my travel expenses.

Have you cleaned the optos in that cannon? If so you may have a bad wire loom in that assembly.
