Williams, 1993Hi everyone. My sttng drop target keeps popping up through the whole game. I checked the switches and did a test everything came up good. But as soon as you start a game and either choose something tha drops the target or hit it it will keep popping up and down. Any idea what is causing it? Thanks
As with all problems like this, start with switch edge test. Make sure the "target down" switch is operating properly.
Place the game in switch edge test. Raise and lower the target. Does the target switch status change?

Mine did this at one point. Switch test alone didn't tell the whole story because it was related to the jarring that the switch gets when the target is raised. I finally figured out the switch was bad when I wiggled one of the connection spades during switch test mode, and it beeped a few times. Replaced the switch and never had the problem again.
