This is the fix I came up with back in 2009 when shopping my STTNG.
Today there was some chatter about the drain issue and brought my attention back to the project.
It was my first mod, but I could not get a good price to produce it and almost forgot about it.
Quick easy mod and looks factory.

How to make the mod:
Using a pipe cutter, cut your stock plastic off the short end just above the cut out for the rubber.
Now take that and put it on the bottom of the post which changes the geometry rubber angle.
Reinstall remember short side on the bottom like in the pictures below.

Why it will work:
With the rubber higher on the post it draws the ball in slightly on slow rolls causing a back spin thus letting the ball go into the first lane. Quick ball shots to that side will still go straight out unless you nudge it but the uncalled for drains will be cut. Also this helps bounce outs in that area. Dont believe me check your drain count for left, middle and rt outer (assuming you dont have lane extensions). Get your averages and reset your audit. Now play 50-100 games and recheck it.

First picture shows the post how it stacks once cut.

Second shows the angle of the rubber changed by that stack.

Thanks I will check this out on mine, but I did already order the lane extenders. They have shipped too.

Just thought I should post this here as well. I implemented this fix and it works great - thanks!
Basically I found that (obviously) straight drain shots are unaffected, but the cruel bounce-outs are drastically reduced.

I accomplished this not by cutting posts, but rather by 3D-printing new ones. If anyone else has a 3D printer and wants the STL-file, just shoot me a PM with an email adress.

Such a simple fix you would think it would have been done long ago.
I tried to get the post made in volume but 3d printing was not available as much back then.
Thanks for sharing your success.

I wonder if someone made these if people would buy them. I have a TNG with the lane extenders installed (I think) and this seems like a much better solution.
