Hey All,

Just thought I'd share a mod idea with the community. My shuttlecraft was pretty faded and yellowed, so I wanted to give it a little makeover. Using the same process as the pinwiki for the romulan warbird, I added 4 LEDs to the shuttlecraft and wired it to the GI.

First, I cut out the blue sections on each side of the shuttle. Then I pulled off the old decals and cleaned the shuttle up to prep for paint. Coat of primer, paint, and clear coat. New set of decals. Took some of the old blue windows from my old Borg ship and cut them to fit my cutouts in the sides of the shuttle. Hot glued the blue plastic in place and the 4 LED's in place (2 per side, 1 at each end of the cutout). Wired everything up and a 22ohm resistor (same as Hallmark romulan warbird mod). Pretty easy to do if you have the tools and time.

See pics.

Thanks! I had originally thought about hooking it up to the "rescue" light so that it would turn on when you played the Rescue mission with the shuttle, but I didn't want to have to mess with the IDC connector on the light board. In the end, it was easier to just wire it to a GI socket... and it's more appreciated if it's on all the time.
