I have Six switches for my cannons not working. The 2 opto sensor in both that detects the ball, and the 4 switches that detect the cannon positions.

Any ideas? It seems everything else in machine is working. We swapped the 8-driver board from another STTNG and same symptoms.

Was working just fine the day before.

You might have better luck over in the STTNG owners thread. They're usually really good with this type of thing because the cannons are a common issue. I haven't experienced it personally but someone on here likely has. If the switches aren't working it could be somewhere on the board.

Have you gone into switch test.
Mine did this when I had a bad optic senor in the cannon.
Turned out to be bad wiring harness's, both to the cannons.
Does the cannon coil fire thinks there's a ball in it?

Six switches show no signs of life.

All on the cannons.

Of course we know this from the switch test.

I will mention that Two wires from the coin door came off.
We soldered back to the menu button same day, same time as cannon issues.
These wires went to the right button for entering the menu.

Could that be related? The buttons on coin door work fine again.

We found the wire. Got caught lifting the playfield up. We looked 3x....but finally saw it the 4th time.
