Quoted from ArtPylon:I've noticed that a few other switches in the same row of the matrix are not registering. Of the 3 in the row that are easy to get to to test, they all are not working.
Start by checking the IDC connector on the CPU board. I'm assuming switch 97 based upon name. Look for the Orange-Violet wire on J205 pin 8 (that row) and inspect to see if it's properly seated in the connector. Resist the urge to stuff a flat blade screwdriver in to re seat it. If you use your phone camera and zoom in you can look for the wire to be seated all the way down in the connector. If not that's probably the issue and you should use an IDC punchdown tool to fix or replace the connector.
If Not -Has that CPU board ever seen battery leakage? If so it's likely that one of the traces under the resistors above the column/row chips has been damaged. you can trace back through that circuit using a multi meter starting from J205 pin 8 using the schematics. You'd probably need to clean the board again to neutralize the battery goo and then use mod wire on the back to fix the broken trace.
