Happened to catch this today. Thought I was a aware of most of the Easter eggs on my games but this is the first time I have seen my STTNG playing brick breaker. Wonder how often that happens.
CC33A5F4-9A58-45D5-93C7-64C3416BC941 (resized).pngThere's a lot of steps you have to do to initiate this. How did Breakout just appear? Below is how you start it. Unless there is a special ROM, seems weird you'd just stumble across it.
1 start a game
2 enter the code using flippers B,1R,2L,1R,4L,1R,8L,2R
3 begin paying the game normally
4 get the holideck mode (right ramp twice then right orbit)
5 when prompted for holideck choose 25k, hold gun trigger down and press right flipper button
6 instead of Rikers poker, breakout starts. You get 5 balls in breakout shown down right side of dmd
No, it was just sitting in attract mode for several hours and it started doing that on its own. A game was not being played. I have owned it for three years and that’s the first time I have seen it do it. It played it for probably more than five minutes.

Dwight Sullivan programmed it. Here is his blog about it: https://mypinballblog.blogspot.com/2008/01/hidden-brick-game-in-sttng.html?m=1
