Still working my my non working STTNG. I thought my board was fixed, and it was getting good readings on the test points and was giving good power to the CPU board... or, at least it WAS.

I didn't have the DMD board connected before, just an oversight... but when I did connect it and powered on, some fuses on the power board blew.

I also happened to double check the 12v and 5v coming onto the CPU board and the 12v only showed around 7 volts.

I replaced the fuses on the power board and disconnected J606 on the DMD board and J114 on the power board - effectively cutting power to the DMD board and CPU board.

I powered up and immediately it blew fuses F104 and F105.

I'm assuming there's something I need to check on the power board for those fuses... and is the 7v to the CPU board normal or should it be closer to 12v?

Thoughts on where to go from here? Any ideas would help.

Something is definitely wonky here. I went to test all my points just now, power on and some solenoids did fire. It also burned fuses F103 and F114!

I tested my points and got this with everything plugged in...

TP1 - 13.5
TP2 - 5
TP3 - 12
TP4 - 1.9
TP6 - 72.2
TP7 - 0.8
TP8 - 17.3

So, then I power off, unplugged the DMD board and CPU board again, fired her back up and the solenoids didn't fire this time... likely because the fuses were burned? So, with fuses 103, 104, 105 and 114 burned (I need to go get new fuses today) test point 3 read 0.2 volts and the 12v pins on J114 read 0v.

Also, when I starter her up the second time the cannons started moving back and forth, and I got some playfield insert and GI lighting as well.... Which didn't happen before.

Also, led1 and led6 are no longer lit, maybe because of fuses? I'll have to go grab a bunch today and fire it up over and over with different commectors plugged in I guess?
