Just sold my sttng to a guy living in a 50hz part of japan, i live in western part where we use 60hz.
the label on the machine says 100v 50/60hz
do i need to change anything or do i just ship it as is?

I don't know the answer to this but there is probably a jumper somewhere you have to change to get it to work correctly.
If the voltage is the same in both parts of Japan, there is nothing you need to change.
There are jumpers that configure the transformer for different supply VOLTAGE, but no changes are needed for different supply frequency (50/60hz).
that's really interesting that the power grid is not standardized across all of Japan. i had no idea. seems like it's bound to cause more issues long term than just going with one or the other nation-wide.
