apologize for the thread necromancy, but I have a quick question.

I have a new whitestar mpu with a bit of damage and although minor I assume I should try and neutralize it asap to keep it minor?

Ive already ordered the IC and socket that got hit, and was ready to hit it with some vinegar before I saw this thread.

Just looking for a little guidance as I cant find the blue bottle of cleaner in the op, instead I have found only Zep's newer gel that comes in an angled yellow bottle. The site for the product says the active ingredient is still hydrochloric acid, though I cant find the %

Think it should still be the product to use, or is there a new recommended product? Also, am I going overboard for such a small area?

    Thanks!

    Quoted from Acronymicon:

    I cant find the %

    5-10% - https://images.thdstatic.com/catalog/pdfImages/cb/cb500a3d-54bd-4a69-a6ad-0abb1feda402.pdf

I found the data sheet on the product page at Home Depot but Zep has their own site too.

Thank you! I was getting a 404 when I tried the pdfs on the zep site.
