I had no idea that there was a SF club!! Good to know. I actually need help with something if anyone is willing. I'll have to come back with pictures though because I don't know what the part is called. Its two coil springs that came unwound and I can't figure out how they are supposed to be positioned.

Can anyone provide a photo of how this thing is supposed to be setup as far as the spring goes? What does it even do??

Quoted from uncivil_engineer:

I found the attached photo from my tear down. It shows the gate the spring is attached to on the top side of the playfield. I hope this helps.

And Yes, my SF2 was that dirty when I got it.

I think my top side is fine. I just need to see the orientation of the spring itself and which holes in the two eyelets that the ends attach to. See how my spring is unwound and unattached at one end? My SF was also that dirty and I honestly think that they left it on route and never shopped it, the battery died, and they pulled it off route

My issue is, even I do attach the springs ends the mechanism doesn't move. It's still just a bound up spring

Quoted from uncivil_engineer:

You may want to disconnect the spring and see if the gate is binding up. If it swings freely, the add more tension on it to get it to close.

It is already disconnected, I just cant figure out how to reassemble it lol

Does anyone know what goes into this hole that I am pointing at in the photo? Whatever it is it was missing when I got my SF. Thanks!!

Anyone have a way to test the motor for chun li without it being in the machine? I have the playfield completely out of the machine and the motor did not function while in it. It is a pain to get at to begin with from the top so I want to test it before putting it all back together. I have a Cue ball wizard with a similar motor and it didn't work, turns out the solenoid was not kicking on to activate it. Does the motor in SF work in the same way, and if so where is the solenoid located for it?

I found an exact, if not extremely close color to factory for the cabinet if anyone has been looking.
