Art is poor, gameplay is very linear, lots of Gottlieb strange programming, most boring unnecessary extra playfield ever, and yet this is one of my favorite games and has been since it first showed up in my distributors showroom way back in 93. Just something extremely satisfying about battling thru the characters to get to the master!!

Glad there is a club for this often unfairly lambasted game, it's a lot better than most give it credit for!

Quoted from TKDalumni:

A mini DMD game popped up a couple times tonight when I was playing (not sure what I did to cause it)...had sagat kicking barrels similar to the arcade version. Anyone ever seen this? Any idea on how to beat it?

You get the barrel kicking when you shoot under the left ramp after you have already shot it to collect the character. I'm going from memory here, but I think that's right, and it takes 2 or 3 shots to start multiball.

It's a real shame that Capcom didn't insist on overseeing the programming more, game could have been better if it followed the rules of the video game more closely. Just seems so wrong to have the first character you beat be Bison, when he was always the last, and hardest to beat!!

That said, I introduced the game to someone yesterday that had never played it before despite being in the top 100 in the IFPA rankings, he was very impressed by the variety of shots!
