There's been a gross oversight, somehow there's no street fighter 2 club and I'm pretty sure it's the greatest pin ever built. To undo this travesty I figured I'd make a club post for the eight to ten of us that love this pin! Here's some crappy iPad pics of mineimage-474.jpgimage-474.jpgimage-784.jpgimage-784.jpgimage-801.jpgimage-801.jpgimage-372.jpgimage-372.jpg

Ps that is a great idea for a topper!

#5 10 years ago

i want to join this club ASAP! I need me a SFII pin
i love your topper, that is awesome

#6 10 years ago

Thanks for all the topper love! Was really pleased with how it turned out.My current goal is to get rick from arcade skins to do side decals similar to the apron decal he did for me, would anyone else be interested? Maybe if we can get a small group together it'd motivate him to work on them/sell them cheaper.

If aurich made an alt translite for this game I'd give him my first born....and money

"You can not win, if you walk away!"

First and only pin, and I'm happy with it!

Had been done but no longer available. Could contact creator and ask him if he'd do it again.

Another SF2 member here! Yours looks awesome!

Art is poor, gameplay is very linear, lots of Gottlieb strange programming, most boring unnecessary extra playfield ever, and yet this is one of my favorite games and has been since it first showed up in my distributors showroom way back in 93. Just something extremely satisfying about battling thru the characters to get to the master!!

Glad there is a club for this often unfairly lambasted game, it's a lot better than most give it credit for!

#15 9 years ago

Spent a lot of time on this table. One of the few games that my wife and I both really like. Without one right now, but would pick one up again if the price was right.

#16 9 years ago

I have a few here in the shop that are routed examples. I never bothered plugging them in to play them and pulled one out about a month ago. The game has a bad rap that is for sure. I thought the game play was pretty good with a few tough shots to hit. I think the game is better than quite a few other games out their, especially black rose.

Bumping this for a question...

What do these run for anymore? Looking at one and trying to get a fair price together.

#19 9 years ago

In for updates. Mine is down and out. Hopefully back up soon.

Cue CaptainNemo hate post in...3....2....

Have been thinking about this one for awhile...I'm a huge fan of Jamma Games, so this timeframe is my favorite Arcade time frame in history...Would love to acquire one at some point.

A mini DMD game popped up a couple times tonight when I was playing (not sure what I did to cause it)...had sagat kicking barrels similar to the arcade version. Anyone ever seen this? Any idea on how to beat it?

id say probably 1200-1500 depending on condition and coast (east vs west)

You get the barrel kicking when you shoot under the left ramp after you have already shot it to collect the character. I'm going from memory here, but I think that's right, and it takes 2 or 3 shots to start multiball.

Hi all, can I join the street fighter 2 fan club? I think it's a great machine with fab sound effects. Any help in fixing a intermittent right hand flipper really appreciatted!IMG_20150323_164553.jpgIMG_20150323_164553.jpg

#25 9 years ago

Sorry forgot to add. Does that make 9 off us now?

#26 9 years ago

Mine is back up, but my sound issue persists. Any ideas?

Plays "you lose, SMASH THE CAR!" when you start a game. Also cuts off other sounds and beeps at random times.

I am now noticing too that the car smash sounds seem to be wrong too. Usually it plays a revving sound when you enter the lower playfield mode, but now it plays nothing. Maybe related?

Any help is appreciated... been working on this for a while.

#27 9 years ago

And another question, how do you shoot the right ramp to achieve the spinning helicopter kick shot? However much I try the ball only goes half way up the ramp and falls back down again? Is this a common problem or is there a trick I need to learn? Cheers fellow SF2er' s

The chun lee ramp? Sounds like your flippers need a rebuild.

Really? I bought the nicest example of a SF2 but once I played it I could not sell it fast enough. I think for those who are SF2 fans it has some nostalgia but I really don't want to give this machine any credit, I liked nothing about it. I am glad you have a club but yikes...

#30 9 years ago

The shot map is pretty sweet...guile is a satisfying shot. This club isnt for haters.

Was never a big sf fan. Think the game is hideous. That being said prefer the play (when set to tournament mode) to many B/W titles worth multiples of its price. To each their own.

Sys3 flippers are different than what Vid shows in his guide.

and how do ya dig the superband gotlieb rings?

#37 9 years ago

Post more pics of that badboy HighProtein! I have superbands and love them. I have a few mods I will post up soon.

#38 9 years ago

Sorry Not trying to be a Hater I am just amazed that people like this machine. I bought one because it was in beautiful condition and had not a scratch on the plastics. I did sell it to someone that really appreciated it. Can someone who likes the machine explain some of the animations...they looked like weird pixelated shapes that made no sense...

Pity you aren't closer. Been debating letting batman go for this. My long term lineup aims to be
JP, SF2, STTNG, and LOTR. Basically want to get my favorite games that I owned last time I was in the hobby.

Too bad when Capcom was making pins they never made a SF.

It could have been the most bad ass pin ever.

Hi TO, where did you get the characters from they look really cool!

#44 9 years ago

I have some to sell if you like. Message me!

#45 9 years ago

It's a real shame that Capcom didn't insist on overseeing the programming more, game could have been better if it followed the rules of the video game more closely. Just seems so wrong to have the first character you beat be Bison, when he was always the last, and hardest to beat!!

That said, I introduced the game to someone yesterday that had never played it before despite being in the top 100 in the IFPA rankings, he was very impressed by the variety of shots!

Thank you very much, really like the narrow super bands although truth be told I've only been playing pinball about a year and am not very good. For a high skilled player I could see the superbands making the game too easy

Agreed, red powdercoat looks awesome

#47 9 years ago

Btw, I sent the people at pingraffix an email requesting side decals for sf2, also working on coming up with some sort of alt translite that fits the theme, may try to do something similar to the apron vinyl...I got some good tips from aurich so I'll report back any updates

#48 9 years ago

Flipper rebuild kits ordered and in the post to me, have also ordered the cab switches as well so I can do all of it! Looking forward to a proper game with proper flippers!

#49 9 years ago

I just purchased the beautiful machine Damon had for sale and will be joining this club when its arrives from the west coast
